Another day down and nearly 2 more houses done! We had plenty of obsticles, 1 mile walk hauling all the material for a build, adapting to not American cut homes, learning to not be perfect but to do the best with what we have.
As we sat together at the dinner table it was neat to hear how the two teams enjoyed seeing the families who were receiving the homes as their smiles and faces lite up as we pulled away from their newly built home.
John has been able to share the gospel message with several people at the various sites! We have all made some great connections with the Haitian people and some have learned our name and some we have nicknamed (1 we call Justin Bieber! Ask Jeff why sometime.)
One of our teams was SERVED a Haitian meal by the woman who we were building the house for. She had so much food prepared for us and Greg was reminded of the parable of the widow who gave everything out her poverty. It was a powerful humbling moment for all of us. This is just one of many powerful encounters we have had and can’t wait to share with you.
