Another day is done and sadly we are nearing the end of our time here in Haiti. There is so much that needs done but it has been awesome to help where we were given a chance.
Today we finished our 4th, 5th and 6th house!!! Today was a powerful day with the Haitians. Once again we were offered a meal that could have fed their own family for several meals, but instead they fed our work team.
At our final house today as we completed and were hanging the curtains (that the sewing circle made) one of the daughters of the homeowner realized that the house was hers and she began crying and walked away for a minute. They were overwhelmed by the home and we realized the impact that we were having as well. They shared with us that they had been and would continue to be praying for us, as they were Christians as well.
Our family of believers is so much bigger than we ever can begin to realize.
Tom, Darrel, Angie and Cheryl were all able to get some work done at Will and Julie’s house in the afternoon. It was rgreat to know that we were able to help them as well as the other Haitian people.
John was able to go fly with Will. The flew supplies and people to a couple of areas. John had a blast and did a great job of getting some sky view footage of Haiti.
Here is a before and after picture of the last house we built today, as well as a picture of the lady with Angie and her new curtains.
Continue to be in awe of God’s provision for you and the people you are touching. I am so proud of each and every one of you and honored to be part of the prayer cover over your trip. I cannot wait to hear your stories or how God used each and every one of you.
Angie had asked me about going to help and I declined at this time. Seeing the pictures and reading the comments, I am so wishing I would have went along to help. If you do again next year check with me about going.
